Wonderful Field Trip
![]()
Everyone was there! Amelia Earhart, John Brown, Langston Hughes, and all the people members of both fourth grade classes learned about while studying Kansas. Our trip to the Kansas State Museum of History was a huge hit, a lot of fun and really educational. Some of the favorite displays were a fancy antique train, an airplane, parts of a sod house and a log cabin, cannons, old rifles and swords. There was a diner from the 1940s, Native American displays and all kinds of artifacts from the Bleeding Kansas era, including from the burning of Lawrence by Quantril’s Raiders. You might like to ask your child what their favorite part was.
